Cheeky solved a 3 year problem within 36 hours...Outstanding! Two HVAC companies never really uncovered (or wanted to explain) the problem of my 3rd floor AC cooling issue. Through a neighborhood recommendation, Cheeky sent out their Senior Technician, Chris. Arriving Thursday morning, Chris immediately identified the lack of air flow return as a choke point. The blower/ heater was recent install, yet, Chris noted the installation was done incorrectly or they would have increased the return flow and the AC coil was small. Chris walked me through what his suggestion was to fix ALL of the problems but he went one step further. He said that most AC HVAC problems originate on day 1...Installation! Ah...now that makes sense. Poor installation saves companies money and buyer doesn't know until years later. Chris was proud of his installation team and backed it up with 10 year warranty (parts and labor). By 5pm the next day....the new 3.5 ton unit, custom built return box, and new larger AC coil was pushing about 3X air flow and cooling reached below 62 degrees for testing. Going from 45 amp system to 2025 Goodman model dropped to 30 amp system and will save money on cooling entire home for sure. The 2nd floor system works almost at half load now...that's a good thing. So many great things to mention about the Installation team...Cesar, Jonathan, and Mark (I apologize if I got a name wrong). Everything from custom building a return box from raw sheet metal to disassembling an oversized AC coil to fit through the attic were skilled technicians. Not temp labor, or hourly workers. Clearly, Chris and this team work closely together. I'm convinced this system will well exceed the 10 year warranty...Thank you Cheeky!
